Metography is the result of advancements in digital print technology. The effect is somewhere between a lithograph and a photograph and needs to be seen to be truly appreciated. 

An image is digitally printed directly onto aluminium plate creating a product that is more akin to a piece of artwork than a photographic print. The metal plate is brushed to create sheen as opposed to a bright shiny finish. This contrasts with the inks which have a matt texture.

To get the best results there needs to be a degree of digital file manipulation to ensure there is a good balance between the non printed areas of bare metal and the printed imagery.

Technology allows further enhancement through the addition of spot UV. We use an 8 head digital printer enabling the printing of white in addition to CMYK.
